Coming Soon? Auto-adding Courses and Certs to Your LinkedIn Profile

linkedin official iconAccording to TNW (The Next Web), LinkedIn is piloting a program to allow users to automatically add course completions and certifications to their LinkedIn profiles.

Under the program (which is being piloted with seven “premiere” online education firms), LinkedIn would automatically send you an email after you successfully complete a course. The email would contain a link with an automatic certification field. Click on the link and your course or certification is automatically added to your LinkedIn profile, giving you a painless way to keep your profile current with recent online certifications.

For details on how the program works, check out this article at the TNW Web site.

I’m currently taking an online project management course with SkillSets Online but they didn’t ask for my LinkedIn profile when I signed up. After I finish the course, I’ll update you on whether or not I can get the LinkedIn button for my profile.
