Help/Systems Buys UK-Based SafeStone Technologies

12:46 PM CST – 6/27/12 – This post has been updated with new information

Help/Systems, a portfolio company of equity group Summit Partners, just announced that it is buying system security software company SafeStone Technologies Ltd., based in the United Kingdom.

According to Help/Systems’ press release, SafeStone’s Compliance Center product will complement (be added to?) PowerTech’s mission by providing PowerTech access to the AIX and Linux marketplace. While the press release doesn’t explicitly say that SafeStone will be folded into PowerTech, it is definitely a PowerTech-oriented acquisition and it looks like SafeStone’s products will be marketed alongside PowerTech’s products to provide a broader product line.

You can read the press release yourself by going to PR Web.

According to Help/Systems, this is their third acquisition in the past year.
