Holy Crap!!! We Recovered How Much IBM i Storage?

Hard to believe but after using my techniques for recovering IBM i disk space from storage hogs, we got back 17% of our usable storage space…and we still have some storage hog hunting to do!

In the course of a few hours, we went from 83.7% system ASP storage used down to 66.2% storage used on one of our IBM i development partitions. So it looks like my techniques work. It also looks like we had a lot of junk on our system, but that’s what storage hog hunting is supposed to ferret out.

So if your IBM i disk is starting to fill up, check out my techniques for finding and dealing with IBM i storage hogs. Like me, you won’t know what you can retrieve until you try…and it may help prevent buying new disk.
