IT Jungle: Eternal Users, A Common Problem with IBM i Jobs

If you get a second, check out my latest post on IT Jungle about eternal users and what to do about them. An eternal user, of course, is a user who has left your organization but you can’t remove their IBM i user profile because it’s used in so many system functions.

It’s a sad common experience for IBM i administrators. In this article, I discuss how to keep the problem from spreading and how to start weeding out old users that have managed to hang around, well, forever.
