Nice Set of IBM Tips on Cleaning Up QSPL Storage

I’m working on a project to identify and clear out unnecessary spooled file storage on an IBM i (AS/400) system.

To that end, I ran across a nice IBM i document on QSPL Storage Cleanup Tips.

This is more of an abstract rather than a tech tip. But it contains a few things I wasn’t aware of, including the proper way to manage spooled file storage in jobs and on the system and a few commmands I had never seen before.

Looks like worthwhile reading for spooled file research. I’ll be writing more about this here and in IT Jungle over the next month or so.
