In this two-part series, I created a template for detecting and reorganizing your most active files to improve disk processing efficiency.  My template covers the following four areas to create a file reorganization strategy.

1. Setting up a procedure for identifying files and members that need reorganization.
2. Properly setting up your Reorganize Physical File Member (RGZPFM) statements.
3. Identifying times that critical files can be reorganized.
4. Rinse and repeat.
