IT Jungle: Changing Sub Tree Authorities in the AS/400 IFS

IT Jungle just posted my latest article on how to change authorities for all objects (including files and sub folders) in an AS/400 Integrated File Systems (AS/400 IFS) folder. This is incredibly handy when you have to change all the authorities for a software package that resides in a specific folder.

This is a relatively easy task to accomplish but you have to do it from the green screen in IBM i 6.1 (no graphical equivalent in System i Navigator). Once you know the technique, it’s incredibly easy to do.
