IT Jungle: IBM Rochester is Manufacturing “Starting Point” for PureSystems

So where will the new IBM PureSystems be manufactured? According to a story in today’s IT Jungle, an IBM spokesman was quoted as saying the following to Tim Prickett Morgan.

“IBM Rochester is the manufacturing starting point for PureSystems. Some of the work will be completed outside the United States.”

So it looks like Rochester is going to have a hand in manufacturing the new machines. I’ll leave it up to Tim Prickett Morgan to explain more, but this is encouraging.
