Getting Rid of Annoying Google Plus Hot and Recommended Posts in Your Home Feed

Google+ logoBy default, when you set up your first Google+ account, Google+ will automatically add a large number of Hot and Recommended posts to your Google+ home feed.  And unlike LinkedIn where the recommended posts are pretty much delegated to the LinkedIn Pulse and some sponsored posts, Google+ puts its Hot and Recommended posts everywhere in your home feed to the point of overkill.

If you’re sick of these unwanted and annoying Google Plus Hot and Recommended posts in your home feed, here’s an easy process to get rid of them.

1. Click on the Google+ Home drop down on the left side of your Google+ page. Select the What’s Hot selection in the drop down menu that appears.

2. On the What’s Hot page that appears, look for the What’s Hot and Recommended area on that screen (shown below). Click on the little gear shift button in that box. This will display a pop-up check box labeled Show posts in Home screen. By default Show posts in Home screen is checked. If you uncheck this option, the annoying What’s Hot and Recommended posts will disappear from your home feed.

This is the area of the What’s Hot that contains the checkbox that will help you remove those annoying Hot and Recommended posts from your Google+ home feed.

And that’s all it takes to remove these posts from your Google+ home feed.
