I’m doing a research project right now where I’m looking at how to modernize older IBM i (AS/400) warehouse workstation setups (dumb terminals and Zebra printers) to still provide green screen access along with Windows, touch screen, tablet, warehouse management server access, etc capabilities. All of this must be done in generally dirty warehouse environments. This client is trying to position themselves to roll more modern apps out to the warehouse floor in addition to their usual warehouse picking and shipping apps.
If you’re managing a warehouse environment with thin clients, PCs, etc replacing dumb terminals, I’d love to talk to you. If you’d like to share what you’re doing, please email me at joe@joehertvik.com and we can set up a time to talk.
Thanks in advance, and I look forward to talking with you.

My clients use RF Scanners and dollies with battery inverters to power the Zebra printers as they pick and pack around the warehouse. Written all in RPG!
It will better that IBM i will start warehouse so that, there will be proper maintenance of warehouse will be done.
Maintenance of warehouse is the greatest phenomenon into the process of the logistics business.
